A small defeat after a low-key game in which the Belgians lacked game power and speed, especially in the first half. After a better second half, the Red Wolves equalised towards the end of the match. In an exciting final minute, the Netherlands scored and Belgium did not. On Friday, national coach Yérime Sylla's team returned to Belgium where preparations begin for Sunday's match against Croatia. "It is very unfortunate that, after a lesser first half, we missed the opportunity to still get a point against the Netherlands. It's a disappointment," said national coach Yérime Sylla. "Our next match we play at home. We will do everything we can to try to enter without complexes. That's really a mental cape that we have to round." Jeroen De Beule concurs with his coach. "Our biggest problem was that we didn't play liberated. That has to change on Sunday. Against Croatia, we have nothing to lose. In our last official match before the World Handball Championship, we have to play liberated and with a lot of fun."
